1) Events: Interviews, Seminars, Workshops, Classes

If you are interested in sacred geometry workshops in the Medford, Oregon area (or anywhere else
on this planet) please let me know! Here's my list of current and past events. Stay tuned for pending
class announcements in the works...
==================================================================

2) New Products, Articles and Tutorials

The Sixth Hermetic Law (Cause and Effect) ... is the topic for my most recent article on the
Spirit of Ma'at website. This series of articles contains brief excerpts from my upcoming book,
The Geometry Code. I've listed the articles in this series (1 more to follow) on my Resources page,
as well as my Events page.

Next installment of the "beginner's corner": How to make the Seed of Life pattern.
Did you draw the Seed of Life pattern with your compass in grade school but not know it had a name?
This pattern is probably the most intuitive thing to make with a compass, and, as the simplest things
often are, it is probably one of the most profound geometries.

For those that explore the sites that Nancy (my wife) and I contribute to, these geometric orbs aren't
new, but they are new to this bulletin. Nancy wants to revamp her site, so we're looking for stewards
for these close-out items (Triple Julia vortex marbles.) Check out these lovely artistic glass fine art pieces!
The triple Julia Set crop circle formation is exquisitely presented in these gems made by an artisan
friend on the Oregon coast.

3) Recent Introductions ... (Still Fairly) New :-)

Enhance your edits: Geometric Video Patterns (Gradient Wipe Transition Images) for Final Cut Pro!
==================================================================

4) Website(s) of Interest

Werner Vogl has some sacred geometric architecture on his site (German) and an English translation.

I (finally!) upgraded our Macs to OS10.5, and now I'm in widget-heaven! :-) Here's a simple little
Golden Ratio calculator that gives integer approximations for phi proportions scaled above and below
the entered number. Click on the "Calculate and Convert" category and scroll down to find the
Golden Ratio calculator. If anyone knows a good PC equivalent, send me a link and I'll feature it
next month.
==================================================================

5) Book(s) of Interest

Fragments of Infinity: A Kaleidoscope of Math and Art by Ivars Peterson (big thanks to Jim S.
for the book donation!) is an artsy excusrion through fractals, tilings, topological creativity
and more from abstracts to Zometools.
==================================================================

6) Movie(s) of Interest

How about a classic (or two) this month? It's a Wonderful Life is always a great reminder that we
DO have an impact with every choice we make, and truly the world IS better off for our having
given our gifts, no matter how much we tend to demean ourselves by focusing on the finite mind
instead of our eternal, transpersonal thoughts.

OK, here's the second classic (released 3 years before my "spaceship" landed) -
The Day the Earth Stood Still- We recently saw the original version, then the remake and liked
the 50's version better. Here's a quote "Your choice is simple: join us and live in peace, or pursue
your present course and face obliteration. We shall be waiting for your answer.
The decision rests with you." (To this I would add that our egos are facing obliteration, but that's
good news! :-)
==================================================================

7) Music of Interest

I recently posted a list of 100 favorite "Pandora" radio stations on my blog, so here's the list.
==================================================================

8) Affiliate(s) of the Month: Amazon.com

I have an ever-growing list of favorite books, videos, music and other items ... a generous assortment
of faves on my aStore; and here's a link to everything on the entire Amazon site.

9) Quote(s) of the Month

"When I look inside and see that I am nothing, that's wisdom. When I look outside and see that I am
everything, that's love. And between these two, my life turns." - Nisargadatta

"We're not separate, but part of a big energy field. ... we're communicating all the time with everything ...
We exist only as relationship." - Lynne McTaggart

"...there is a deeper part of us that is untouched by any difficulties we perceive and encounter.
Peace does truly lie within us. It does not need to be developed because it is already perfectly
developed within us. It only needs to be discovered." - Martin Gray

10) Image(s) of the Month

Solar System to Uranus per Martineau

This image of "Solar System To Uranus Per Martineau" seems a fitting choice for the Winter Solstice
season. The Martineau gallery pages contain more detailed explanations of these geometries, which are
similar to hundreds of patterns found in SGDS.
==================================================================

11) 2009 (now annual) multimedia CONTEST!

I've decided to make the Sacred Geometry Multimedia Contest an annual event, so you NOW have
until Dec. 31, 2009 to send me entries (inspired by Sacred Geometry Design Sourcebook, or other
images or ideas on the site) to win a free GeometryCode screensaver and eBooklet!
...
Well, I guess everyone was busy this year, since I didn't receive a single entry in 2008! If someone
has some artwork, sculpture, a tattoo, or even a poem inspired by this website or SGDS
I'd love to see it... You now have a brand new year to get going on the 2009 Contest!
==================================================================

12) Request for Submissions

If you would like to stay connected and network with kindred souls online, check out
LinkedIn. I'm enjoying connecting with both recent and long-time friends and colleagues
and discovering new friends of friends (and soon friends of friends of friends... :-)

As always, please let me know how I can support you. Please send me any interesting items about
sacred geometry or related interests (since everything is interrelated!
Thanks for your interest & support! :-)
